I had not worked in an office for 25 years until a manager met me and believed in me. He needed an English speaking person with a good attitude and he didn't care about the skills (or lack thereof) that I brought with me into the company. He only saw my potential.
When I needed help, he did not hesitate to get on his chair and do everything he could to support me. He was amazing.
I've had equally good managers and colleagues over the years. Ones that have made a tremendous difference in the way I look at
myself. One colleague reminded me to ''always let my light shine'' and not to hide myself in the corner.
